This is hands-down the simplest recipe for Peanut Butter Cookies that you’ll ever use. Plus, it produces very tender cookies without the “flour-i-ness” that you might get with other recipes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg

Method:

  • Mix these three ingredients very well. Form into balls about 1-inch in diameter.
  • Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Flatten with fork dipped in sugar - make crosshatches for an appealing look.
  • Bake at 350 F. for about 12 minutes or until edges of cookies just begin to turn brown.
  • Remove from oven; let cool one minute then remove to wire rack to finish cooling. (You may also place them on waxed paper or parchment paper for cooling.)

For variety, leave the cookies as balls, bake as usual, then when you remove them from the oven press an unwrapped Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each one. Now you have Peanut Butter/Chocolate Blossoms!
