I’ve got chicken frying right now. What I bought was already seasoned and marinated boneless chicken breasts. I dredged them in flour, and they’re in the electric skillet.
I put rice in the lower level of the steamer, and green beans in the upper two trays.
To have some really special green beans, though, with a “down home” taste, I sprinkled about 3 tablespoons of brown sugar on them, a dash of sea salt, some freshly ground pepper, and a little bacon grease. They’ve been cooking in the steamer for awhile now and already have the look of gemstone jewelry, as they glisten with the brown sugar glaze! These are frozen green beans, which I find to be very versatile.
Of course, everything smells just heavenly and it’s hard to wait until it’s all done. I haven’t eaten since breakfast early this morning, so I’m particularly ravenous at the moment!
