  • I don’t buy dishwasher detergent. Instead, I fill the detergent cups on the dishwasher door with baking soda first, then pour in bleach. This gets the dishes clean and it disinfects them, too. ~Ann
  • Coffee grinds can be dried after use, just let them dry naturally. Use them to combat odors by placing them in ashtrays, in fridges, etc. Works well. ~Kenneth
  • What about using undies as cleaning rags aswell?

    I use them for my paint brushes, it works well when cleaning them out as there is no fuss coming from the cloth while bath towels would.

    Bent / Broken silverware works well for wind chimes, as well as tin cans :)

    If you live close to a tree cutting business, ask the owner if they would bring a load of their wood chips to your home. They will usually deliver it for free as waste management charges them for dumping it. The wood chips do great for mulch. ~ Will
